"God Hates Me"

God's love is like a stream that flows for all, but only those who come to the river drink and wash in it. Stay away from the streams and you will think God hates you. No, my friend! God loves you and He always does. Come to the river and you will never say "God Hates Me".

IT'S DANGEROUS NOT TO BE A CHRISTIAN

...By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Isaiah 53:11 (About 700 BC)

If you ever read through the prophecies in Isaiah chapter 53 in comparison with the life of Jesus, and yet fail to accept Jesus as your Saviour, then it is either you didn't understand what you read or you deliberately chose to deny the undeniable. Either way, you're not safe.

First of all, it is very important that you know that the prophecy above is 700 years older than Christianity. And that means about 700 years before Jesus was born. Therefore, like many other Messianic prophecies like it, it is not possible for Christians to have written it. When those words came to pass, the Prophet Isaiah was no longer here; and that also means he was a true prophet of God, because there's no way he could have seen the future without God's help.

The scripture above clearly revealed in prophecy, HOW the Messiah was going to save people and WHAT He was going to save them from.

HOW was He going to be Savior?
The Messiah (My Righteous Servant) was to suffer and die but not for any offence He committed. "He took upon Himself the punishment for our sins". Clearly, by this prophecy, His saving power was not to be seen in swords nor threats, but ironically by His suffering and death.

WHAT was He saving people from?
"For He shall bear their iniquities". People will be justified or declared free from their sin and guilt on account of His suffering and death. Isn't that amazing?

That was to announce that a new Testament was on the way; for by the old Testament, lambs and goats were the sin bearers. "And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities" Leviticus 16:22. It was a mandatory yearly ordinance that was kept by the people, lead by a High Priest. A single goat was made to carry the sins of all the people spiritually. Notice how the priest transfers the people's sins upon the goat in Leviticus 16:21. This was the order, and a foreshadow of things to come.

No wonder, when John the baptist saw Him coming he said, "behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" John 1:29. Messiah was to take the place of goats in taking away the sins of men. The wages of sin doesn't just go away, someone has to pay for it.

To become a Christian is to place your sins upon Messiah the lamb of God and let Him take it away from you. That is the only time you are justified. And that is how to escape eternal damnation. It is eternally dangerous then, not to be a Christian.

If you knew how much God hated sin, you will know that what we call problems (hunger, sickness, war, imprisonment or nakedness) are no problems at all, none of those can destroy our relationship with God. But when sin comes in, God moves out. Only sin is capable of destroying our relationship with God. So, sin is the real problem.

The Messiah's mission was to deal with the real problem, so that all men could have the chance for a perfect relationship with God. His was the ultimate sacrifice as there would be no need for goats any more. The former sacrifice had been abolished by His death; they were never perfect, only a picture of the real.

Now, do you see why you can not ignore Isaiah 53? The entire package God was preparing for our justification was in Prophecy long before it came to pass. What a shock absorber! Now you see that your fears, unbelief and doubts about Jesus were never supposed to be. If You wouldn't let Him take your sins away, who else can justify you?

But if this is what you want to do, just say this prayer after me now:

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I admit I cannot take my own sins away. I believe you died for me, I confess my sins to you; please take it away from me, and fill me with your Spirit. Thank you Jesus, Amen! I love you Lord.

Please, call to share with me that you just made the decision to follow Jesus. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I love you!
God bless you.

REFLECTIONS:
From Adam till now, No one has been able to carry their own sins away, and nobody except God determines how sin should be carried away.

Because the wages of sin is death, only by the death of a worthy Savior is an offender set free. A worthy Saviour must be that person who has no sin of his own. But who is without sin among men, prophets and Angels? Only Jesus. Worthy is the lamb that was slain!
